New build. Project board track racer #2

Canning the homemade tank. I like the stretched look but it makes it look chopperish. So bought a pre-fabed peanut style tank.. the pic at bottom is the tank im putting on. Should look good gonna do the white mags also cause they are a hassle free setup and i think they simply look the best. Gog my seat pan mocked up. Now starting on running the exhaust piping and gonna fab up in-frame motor mounts

Front forks were to straight up for me. It makes the bike to high up front. I like an aggressive stance. So raked the front forks another 20 degrees to give me a 2inch overall stretch. axle to axle now measures 52 inches which is around the same as a vintage boardtracker. The front hight lowered an 1 or so. The bigger gab that is between back of front tire and fame down tube will be filled in nicely with a rather large expansion chamber. Does it look more agressive?

Your bikes are the best board tracker replicas I've seen with a common bike engine. I also love the personal touches you've added to your bikes.

And yes that iz a mig welder in the back. I have built both bikes completly with a $200 harbor frieght mig and flux core .35 wire. i can Tig weld the s**t out of this bike but i lack a $500 tig welder. Just goes to show you it can be done on a budget and even with a cheap welder

Cheap welders work as long as you aren't trying to break a land speed record 😂. Weren't you going to use something other than the tank you made or are you just mocking it up?

Yeah peanut tank is enroute at the moment this is just a mokup tank since its the same length. New tank should be here friday i hope

Awesome. I'm looking forward to seeing it. What engine where you going to use?
Im prob going to use the china girl off my first tracker. Its a long rod high hole triple 40 with g4 jug. This motor is good for 50 mph just not in my first tracker because its got alot of solid steel reinforcements. She just to heavy and can only hit 40mph. I only can hit 50 when its in My normal none moded huffy beach cruiser. So im gonna buy a phantom 85 and put it in my 1rst build and use my 1rst build motor on this bike. That way the 85 can make up for the weight difference wich is 50lbs or so. Im hopin they are very similar in speed when done. My first motor is heavily ported, decked, piston crown ramps, case matched, port matched, wrist bearing shimed, trans spine sharpened, timing advanced. Supercharged cdi. Intake manifold dimpled inside. Case stuffed, half assed balanced crank, high comp head with .8 squish. Shes a screamer a max rpm of 8k. Plus her bigger size will look better in the big frame of the blue tracker compared to the baby jug phantom.

My first boardtracker has got 3 hand levers on the handle bars. Only because the downward curve wont allow a twist throttle. This tracker is gonna have the same problem. However this time i thought it threw. Took an 8mm box wrench and exhaust screw, a 2in 5/8 bolt and some misc harware i had lying around. Put it all together and made a double cable pull foot brake lever. Put it on the left rear peg so now the front half of my foot can do the braking. Bye bye 3rd hand lever.
