I didn't see thet. The only thing I could think of making sense is if someone packed a Porsche engine in one and slapped a Porsche emblem on it
They did that already...They called it the Porsche 914...What a joke that was, a VW in disguise...lol.

The beetle my mom has has an empi racing block my dad built up for his Baja, then we scrapped it due to the structure being destroyed by cancer rust. So my dad kept the engine for a different beetle. The one it's in my dad bought for 300 bucks delivered from a crack head.
This is what that 914 looked like...lol...Looks like a "scooter" to me...lol.

Actually... it depends. If you were lucky enough to obtain a 6-cyl (GT) version, you actually had a Porsche... a sorta ugly (in comparison) pedestrian Porsche, but a Porsche none-the-less.
Those 6-cyl models could be coaxed to put out about 200hp with a bit of work... not bad for a super light car like the 914.

That freewheel is gone. it was the original plan but wont work. im going solid, no ratchet, 40 chain
