I put a chainsaw engine on a peddle go kart for kids a few years ago. It was fun but the plastic tires deteriorated and I needed to make room in the stop so away she went

And yeah the chainsaw I had lacked top end power but low end was more than enough- and you really dont have to worry about the chainsaw engines being abused- they like it
