Ive been making and selling coated two stroke pistons on facebook and the other forum, figured i might as well share them here too. I start with new replacement pistons, mask off the ring lands, then hardcoat anodize them and ptfe treat the skirts. Hard coat ano has a rockwell hardness just shy of that of hard chrome, and allows your piston to handle higher temps for longer periods of time before it melts. And the ptfe treated skirts reduces piston scuff and friction and helps quiet piston rattle which is common on two stroke. I shoot for an average coating of .8-1 mil. Im asking 30 for the piston, shipping is 7 for in the us, 15 for canada. I have 3 pistons left right now and will be doing another run some time after christmas.
