Does anyone know if this balanced crank is good

In doing my cranks and finding the true bf with hung weight, adding 6 holes barely gets me to 50% and the only way I know of getting over this is to start shaving material off the face of the weight and I can guarantee that smolik's cranks are no where near what's claimed,

in this pic you can clearly see the 6 holes have been added but there is far less depth to the outer holes and only a slight dia difference in the center with less depth compared to mine yet these are supposed to be for a heavier piston ?? and mine is a lighter rod used and still did not get to a true 50%

My crank is basically like Smoliks. I drilled a 1/2 hole 15mm deep and two outers at 1/2x 5mm.
If I did my math correctly it balanced at .45. I used the Mina horizontal piston which is much lighter than the vertical piston. 112 g vs 99.

I started with that same 3 hole balancing method and had the same issue with the BF.

Using a mill and a flat bottomed bit I ended up boring the center hole to a 13.5mm diameter to a 17mm depth - nearly all the way through - and opened up the factory balancing holes with the same bit all the way through. The outer holes I drilled down to a depth of 8mm. This is how I achieved my results. Basically, I skeltonized both sides about as much as possible without starting to cut away the material completely. It's probably not ideal in some form or another but it is working.

When you opened the factory holes were you able to keep going from one lobe to the other and continue the same drill process?

I’ve always wondered if that’s how they did them at the factory. Align the lobes and hit it all the way through both

No. I did them one at a time. As far as I can tell they only drill one half at a time because two of my holes didn't line up at all.

Well balanced crank arrives tomorrow, hopefully I can get this engine back together.
I put in all new bearings and stuffed it with plates from DHL performance.
Lets see what it does, this is for my Zeda 80, not the phantom.

Thats probably because most are doing what I did today...Going out for a nice bike ride...lol.
Or out exploring in the wilderness with a few of my 200 cousins, getting my feet wet and walking through every nettle I could find.

A couple miles outaide of the land my family has is an old farm that was abandoned back in the great depression during the dust bowl. It's fun to work your way back there lol.
