Most of the time those motors are used as utility motors, so stationary applications. When you use one for motion applications and you go around a curve the oil slushes to one side activating the low oil sensor which cuts out the motor. This can be very dangerous if you need power at that time and have none because the switch cut shut it down.

Your engine could still be salvaged

Overhaul the short block.

If u can't DIY, take it to a small engine repair shop.

If it's a Honda engine, it's worth the $$ to rebuild it.
