how can a 2 stroke engine 4 stroke

At the risk of showing my ignorance I ask this question:-

I've heard it metioned in numerous posts about 2 stroke engines 4 stroking.
What exactly does this mean? Or is this discription of the occurance disscribing when the pipe comes on?

Is there anyboby out there who can unravel this riddle for me.

I could type a full page explaining what causes, what happens, what it sounds like as to a 2 stroke 4 stroking. The BEST way is for one to listen...this is a great clip explaining the situation.
