Howdy Brad. My downtube is the same size. A 1½" muffler clamp fill fit perfectly. (I used a pair of them to attach the battery box.)
Not sure what's available in Oz, but I'm almost certain that SBP sell a front mount to suit.

This headlight is great, but it's annoying having to manually charge the battery after rides. Can't wait to get the generator working.

ummm 50 mm is 2 inch,s ...

i emailed jim kit should fit even tho my clutch arm an cover are billet an cover stands 2-3mm pround but axle is more than long enuff to handle a extra 3 mm .
so when my tax arrives in spendin it on a hd 2 kit .exhaust , low profile air filter.

S..t, sorry Brad, I meant 2". (The muffler clamps on my head-stem are 1½".)

The bike's sounding good, overall.

A quick point on the shift-kit. If the left-hand side-plate is going to be 3mm further out, one extra jackshaft thrust washer might be needed for chain alignment. (This would move the LHS jackshaft sprocket about 3mm to the right to compensate.)
When you order the shift-kit, it wouldn't hurt to ask Jim for a second washer, just in case.
