Very well could be the clutch wasn't properly adjusted for the slightly higher load. One could easily tell this for sure with a tachometer. If the engine rpm was still around 7000 but the speed had decreased by 5 KPH. This would suggest a clutch issue.

I figured out what it was it was actually the carburetor jet was not supplying enough fuel to the engine to make my heavier bike go. I switched to a hp carb with the automatic choke and it runs great however i had the bolt on the back right side break off in the motor luckily i had a spare engine just laying around.

Time to get the drill bit out, then use an Easy-Out.
