'The Beast' Reborn

Hey Low,
just by way of an update, the 65cc tanaka does have a clutch. If you
are thinking of turning 'The Beast' into ' The Monster' Russo Power
Equipment has the 65cc tanaka tbl-7800 leaf blower on sale for $429.
I'd love to see a build with one of these things. Formidable'!

Rawly,
You sure its got a 76/78mm clutch in there?
I really want another Tanaka 40cc.
Are you willing to sell the one you got off eBay?
-Low-

Not sure about the clutch, but looking at it I bet It does
have a 76/78. I'm sure you could call Russo & find out or
Download at parts schematic.
Sell my PF4000!! Hahahaha, uh you a funny guy! It's
this best engine I've ever had. Wanna sell your 47R?

Rawly,
I would sell the 47r.
Only problem, I'm already short one engine & then I'd
be short two. If I can find a deal on two Tanaka 40cc engines, I'd sell the 47r.

I checked out the 65cc Tanaka on that blower & there is no clutch.
I remember reading somewhere that someone tried to use it to motorize a bike & it was a mess.
I gotta find some more 40cc engines somewhere for less than $349 (Staton sale price).
-Low-

Really? Cuz my source sez it has a 'heavy duty' centrifual clutch.
Anyway, here's a cool project for someone. Small Engine Warehouse has
new old stock Sachs 3.7 hp 2 strokes, $130. I'd love to see this
rare Batavus 3 whl. moped upgraded with the Sachs. The moped
is on craigslist , skagit/island, in Washington state. One version
actually used a Sachs.

Oops, never mind; the output shaft is on the wrong side. Still,
cool trike, cool engine for cheap.

Glad you checked that; I mighta bot 1. My bike's heavy enuf as is.
Too bad, Sachs has a rep for quality & power. Still, this would make
for a badass moped.
