Trying to figure out why sparkplug won't fire

Hello everyone... Thank you to all those who helped me last time with my petcock. The bike ran very smoothly until now, where I have a number of electrical issues that I am trying to figure out.

First, I am able to start my bike, but when I turn the throttle, the sparkplugs do not seem to fire and I do not accelerate. I checked my connections and I think that my blue wire somehow managed to slip out of its connection (like the prod itself) and now I'm left with a stripped blue wire coming from the Magento. Does anyone know how to fix this?

In addition, I'm not sure if my sparkplug is working. I looked on the forum post but am still unclear. Should I be holding the sparkplug? What metal surface do I put it on and do I need to put it in the cylinder?

Thank you to all and if you need pictures, please let me know. I tried fitting the connector back on the blue wire but I'm not entirely sure if I'm successful or not.

I ditched the spark plug wire that came with the kit and bought a coil wire from autozone, then cut it in half. the wire just screws into the the little black box. A mounted screw pointing up screws into the core of the wire. I kept having issues of it starting, then not, running, then not, until I changed the plug wire that came with the kit.

The stripped blue wire, you'd just have to splice is or buy a new connector and crimp it on. Make sure you insulate it well with electrical tape.

If your engine is starting up, but when you give it gas it dies it's probably not an electrical issue, sounds like it's flooding or bogging really bad. Maybe the carb needs adjustment, maybe you need a smaller jet, or maybe the air filter is not flowing enough air or maybe an air leak somewhere.

Sorry for the poor description. The engine starts but when I give it gas, nothing happens. I can pedal and the engine will still run (idle like?). Not how else to describe it but the engine starts and runs but no acceleration when throttle activated.

Ok, thank you. I contacted the manufacturer and they said they are sending me a new Magento to install. Would you recommend doing this?

When you say it is running but when you give it gas it doesn't go... I'm inclined to think it isn't running. You are just hearing the engine turn over. On my bike, at least, it fires up right away, sometimes if I'm not ready it will slide me back on the seat. If your bike isn't pulling when it starts it isnt starting.

Use a drill with a socket drive adapter and a socket that will fit one the magneto nut. With the spark plug out and held against the engine turn the engine over with the drill while checking for spark. Don't use a $15 harbor freight drill. I did and it stopped working after 5 seconds.

I wonder if you could use a speeder bar and spinach instead of a drill... Hmm. I will keep looking on YouTube for the video that helped me figure out my issue.

When you stop the bike, will the engine continue to run? I agree with Zak, it don't sound like it's starting up.

I dont think so? It's raining like hell here so I can't try right now. I ordered another sparkplug / connector kit thing so I am going to try that.

You should know when it starts, it's very loud, the entire bike shakes, smoke is coming out of the exhaust pipe and you get an uncontrollable urge to fly it around the neighborhood.
