BAMF II engines

Heh. That store was on MTV the other day at that show where parents choose two people to date their daughter for they hate who she is currently dating. This episode was a daughter that had another woman as her girlfriend and one of her dates set them off riding on those that were aparantly rented.
Yea. That's definitely a "trendy" store. I'd like to ride Cronus by there and laugh.

Wow....$3000....I guess he does have to pay probably horribly expensive rent!...BUT for $3000 I'd like a nice custom adapter to attach the HT engine to the frame (something that fills in that void space between the factory mount and the frame)...Otherwise pretty nice bikes..

Andrew

Yea look at the HT models. They drilled a hole just like we do... some of us.

I know that LA is the land of trendy and the land of too much money, but WTF? If I was looking to spend that kind of money, I would just buy an old motorcycle.

Whole point of a motorized bike IMHO is that while it has lower capabillities than a motorcycle, it costs less, and does not require registration/insurance. Well, that and i can make the danm thing myself.

"trendy" = $ = laws

Oh no, If one of these gets into a movie or some paparazzi catches a pop star on one of these, what then, higher prices? more laws? longer waiting on kits?

Look at the ad carefully, it says "[BAMF-II Model] Honda® built overhead valve 4-stroke engine displacing 49cc, CARB and EURO 2 emission compliance, up to 180 mpg depending on usage. EZ-Start® Recoil" The phrase "Honda built" implies it is a Chinese four stroke that we have seen on some websites that reference "designed by Honda" which is bs anyway. Honda never designed a motor for the Chinese. I could copy a Honda motor and then say it is "designed" by them. Why not just say "Honda engine". If they did that they would be outright lying. So at the least it is purely deceptive to list the phrase "Honda built" in the ad.

Torques, your legal problems have sent you over the edge.....

They are using a real Honda GX 50 with a Grubee gearbox
It is not a Chinese copy of the Honda

"Designed by" is deceptive. "Built by" is not. My engine was "built by" Honda. It is a Honda engine.

Why not say that? Like most of the motorized bicycle companies out there, these guys want to imply that they are supplying their own engines.

Thank you for your kind comment. Other sites have used the term "designed by Honda" and they are NOT Honda's. This ad just sounds strangely similar to me. If it is actually a Honda.. so be it.
