Any suggestions on attaching a Staton f/d support arm here into 1 of the 2 existing screw holes. I'm thinking using washers or a spacer to do it. Don't know if it will be strong enough though. There's only enough room to screw the bolt in flush w/the back side of the axle support, maybe 1/4in. If the support was flush it would be cool. I'm thinking the support will need a 1/2 to clear the caliper. Hard to tell this is the only pic I can locate of the area. Any suggestions?

You might try one of these disc-brake brackets:

Put it on upside down, using the caliper side to mount it to the bike (may need longer screws on the caliper) and mount your bracket to the axle notch. That way you're mounting it using two bolts instead of one.
