Electric & Gas chopper trike hybrid

parts

Where could I find a trike like this in Australia? Anyone know of any suppliers? I noticed on ebay a few nights ago, almost the exact same bike as a bicycle, not a tricycle.

if you click on this link you will see how he converted the bike from a two wheeler to a three wheeler

i have the same conversion kit lying in a box in the garage, although i have neither the time or the money to do anything with it, if you look at the two front bolts thats were you connect the rear dropout of any bike and convert it to instant trike, pretty cool..

I picked up my at a yard sale for next to nothing the guy had bought it of ebay here in the usa from a seller in canada, hope this helps out

for jonasguinn,

ok done some more surfing and sniffing around , found a mailing address with name etc on the side of the box, started entering into the ebay site and bang found the guys stuff...

if the link doesn't work goto seller id (usa ebay)and enter jocevelos, the part costs $130 to get shipped to the usa.

if you read the other posts in the thread some of the other guys had found similar conversion kits at other bike stores, keep goggling and you will probably find a supplier down under.

ok i am going to post some pics of the mount i have in the garage, but since i havnt figured out to do with it yet,

from what i acn see the rear axle is one long piece which i assume you just attach two 26 inch wheels straight onto.

The front bolt is where the doner bike gets added to the trike conversion via the rear drop outs, and as you can see from the kit i have it has a 8 speed cassette on one side leading to a seperate drive cog which has a seperate chain going to the rear axle.

I hope to be able to add a staton chain drive when i finally get around to building a trike with tha kit, the sweet part, i picked this up at a yard sale for $50.

whats the problem surfing on two computers, you end up with hundreds of bookmarks, and you cant remember where anything is.....

anyhow i found another company from a previous thread out of cal that sells all the parts for trike conversions, looks like the part i picked up was a steel, sometimes i have a tiny bit of luck not much, just a little...

My word you were lucky, - those tricycle axles are the absolute best you can get :)

Has anyone tried using one of those trike bike/trike conversion kits on a full sispension bike? Hmmm...

Jo Cevelos has a pic of one applied to a mongoose type full suspension frame on his ebay site. There appear to be upper struts attaching near the seat post asjustment on the frame, and from the pic I can't tell if those are set up to allow flex/compression of the rear triangle. Perhaps someone with better eyes than mine could study that pic and be able to tell.
