The labor day trajedy...

Out riding my bike yesterday with the push trailer attached and got about 2 miles from my house and the chain jumped off the axle sprocket.

Did not have any tools with me, all I would of needed was just one adjustable wrench to loosen the pillow block bearing and put the chain on and retighten it.... but I did not even have that!

The last two miles was up quite a STEEP hill and let me tell you when you are pedaling yourself, a bike, and a 60 pound trailer in 90+ degree temps....it was tough!

The point...... I will NEVER go out again without a tool bag!

sorry to hear that s beaudry

some good food for thought here
where are your tools Mountainman ???

had my first flat the other day
yes - a few miles push to the local bicycle shop
pretty silly - no extra tube - no air - no wrench with me !!!!

seen some of your posts -- COOL
my buddy has a push trailer set up
he's been riding it for many years -- STRONG !

Ride That Thing - Mountainman

I carry almost a compete tool kit. I still need to get a hand pump and one of those mini slime cans for the odd flat tire. A flat on the back wheel of my bike would be a nightmare to change on the side of the road so I'd probably just call for a ride or lock it up hidden in the woods and take the long walk back home.
