Hey, if it were easy everyone would do it!

Ill have to wait on the cnc sprocket before i weld up the jackshaft, as i need to figure out what spacing would be ideal

Well its vertical but has a horizontal shaft for the drive right? Either way very interesting.

Yup, vertical shaft motor, but has a horizontal shaft meant for the self propel drive, it has a 5:1 gear reducer.

Trying to see if I can use that to run the power to the rear, i figured 4 hp on a 1/2in steel shaft should hold if i don't do stupid stuff with it

I have a question. I’m confused usually the pull starter is to the rear of a mower... so you can hold the throttle while starting it... which is the front on your engine?

Because the engine was facing rearward on this lawnmower, and briggs was cheaping out at this time, and made the pull start cover and the pull-start one unit, so i couldn't adjust it back.

Since i rotated the engine 180 degrees, the pullstart is now in front

Im going to run a throttle to the handle bars, and make a clutch mechanism similar to those early 1900s motorcycles

The horizontal shaft AND the 5:1 reduction are both positive options.
