motor wont start

It's been over a week and the motor wont start even with a B6HS spark plug. Looked into the sparkplug hole and saw no gas, rolled the bike forward with the clutch out, to turn the engine over & see if it pukes gas out of the sparkplug hole but nothings coming out. Took carb out to see if there's gas coming out of the pipe but nothing at all.

Take off your float bowl carefully, should be full of gas. Play with your idle screw, turn it in, then turn it out 2 1/2 turns.

Disconnect the fuel line where it attaches to the carborator,make sure the petcock valve under the gas tank is open. gas should pour out the end of the fuel line. If no gas comes out then you have a clogged screen inside the petcock,if so remove it,and replace with an inline filter,or you have a defective petcock.
If gas does come out then the problem is in the carborator,most likley the needle valve is stuck in the seat not allowing gas to fill the fuel bowl.You will have to remove the fuel bowl and you will see a metal prong holding up a needle valve, that maybe stuck,, there is a thread here somewhere that shows you how to troubleshoot the carb. Try a search under carb problems. Mods feel free to move this to appropiate thread.

so the fuel in the bowl fills all the way up and exits to the center hole and goes through the pipe that connects to the motor, right? my carb aint doing that.

No its not like that, there should be a screw on the outside bottom of the fuel bowl, open it up and see if any gas pours out,if nothing comes out then its a stuck needle valve, did you see if gas came out of the fuel line when you disconnected it from the carb as I said in the above post?
If no gas comes out of that bottom screw then the next step is to take the air cleaner off get an old turkey baster or something and squirt some gas into the intake, if it starts up then dies the problem is in the carb. You may need to tie up the rear of the bike or use a stand so you can pedal it without the bike moving.

does the fuel suppose to rise up the center hole of the carb? sorry there is no screw on the bottom of the fuel bowl.

tips. You have to try them, then respond to let us all know worked or not? Then we can scratch
that off the list and try something different.

Thanks for letting Rowanj know this Groucho,,,Rowanj what we are doing here is called process of elimination, this means going step by step to eliminate the things that could be causing this problem, you do need to follow them..what you need to do now is go back to step one and see if gas is flowing into the carb.Take the fuel line off at the carb and turn on the petcock valve and let me know if gas comes out, then I can help you from there.
