need help immediatly!

when i start the goped motor it just dies when i throttle it and it wont engage with the clutch, whats going on? it idles fine though, and before that i tried puting full throttle and it isnt reving high enough to engage with the clutch drum

Is the choke in the proper position ? That looks like the same engine I'm using from a Harbor Freight auger. I've had no problems with my engine other than the pull cord breaking, which I think was my fault.
