I'm in the middle of a working on a crazy plan. 
My plan is to achieve a long-time dream and take my entire family of 6 on RAGBRAI on one giant bike. This has been a dream of mine for many years.
For years I knew I couldn't do it because of the high price of a quality triplet or quad tandem bike ($5-10k or more), but I recently found a low quality Macargi triple tandem from a clearance store and decided to take the plunge.
I plan on adding a trail-a-bike and a 2 seat kids trailer for the 1yo, 3yo and 7yo to ride behind the triple tandem where I, my wife and my 8yo will be riding.
As an insurance policy against the kids rebelling, I plan on installing a motor on the tandem as a backup for any big hills and/or the end of the day when they are tuckered out.
So that's my story, and I'll probably be asking a few questions about getting the backup motor installed.
