I wrote to Permatex and they said Permashield would work
and also Aviation A 3# would also work. I like it because
I can order a small 4oz can for $11 from O'Reillys.

I'm not sure it is alcohol resistant even though Permatex recommended it.
Read more about this product and it is not recommended for
ethanol containing fuel. I'll go with Permashield.

I've used this before... It's works great just a mess and it doesn't like to come off... All there was before RTV

I've been a licensed automotive tech for 30 years, in my experience ultra grey works really really well. Ultra black works well also. The Right Stuff is also really good.
I love "The Right Stuff". Been using it for decades now. It's basically Hondabond without the price tag. I get it from WorldPac, 2 bottles with caulking gun. Otherwise I just use a tiny ball peen hammer and gasket material. The round end of the hammer banged against the object you are trying to gasket makes quick work of custom gaskets.

Reminds me of this

Leather punch set and exacto... An alignment drift would get into smaller pieces... A cotter pin extractor is really good for cardboard gaskets... I don't pull cotter pins with it... I'll cut those when the nut comes off
