First eBike

Well I sold my motorcycle because it got too dangerous with all the crazy drivers. Decided to to explore eBikes because a ride around the neighborhood is all I need these days. Just purchase a 2007 Currie Mongoose with a bad battery pack. Hoping I can get some info on replacing the batteries in the battery back. I spoke with Currie and they want way too much for a replacement pack. I think I can open the case and replace the SLA 12 volt batteries. Will be looking forward to viewing this great website. The kit manufacturer is often the most expensive place to get batteries. Check out batteries plus and other local sources.

Hi Ron D,
Welcome from the land of Oz. Wheelbender6 is correct about the OEM batteries being the most expensive and there are alot of alternatives to SLA cells. I'm sure you will find the answers you seek on this site.
