Golden Eagle Bike Engine setup for a newbe

Hi Kevin,

Congrats on your GEBE system. I notice you live in snow country. Are you going to set it up so you can ride in winter?

There are people on this board that do just that. I think they use special tires, but not sure.

Mary

Hi Mary,

I was planning to ride until the snow flies and that will probably be it. The big snows hit early December and when the roads are plowed its not all that bad on a bike. But I have an open mind to the idea!
Yes there are company's that make super high quality studded tires.
Nokian comes to mind.

The link I gave here has information about winter riding and studded bike tires. There are quite a few uses and choices!
And that GEBE bike is really really nice! It exceeded my expectations!
It's well engineered and well made. That Robin/Subaru engine is a great little four stroke motor. Julia over at GEBE talked me out of that two stroke Tanaka. I might have lost a little speed but to not have fuel mixing problems I thought that it was well worth it! A good choice for my commuter needs....

My interest is ultra cycling.
My Blog is only going to be about that interest.
Motored biking will be my way to work but its not cycling really.
With clothes for winter its kind of like a car without the cage....
