Ring gap

Would you take a pic of the bottom of your motomatic cylinder kit. I want to see how far the cylinder sticks down on the bottom of it. I'm wondering if he didnt bore case deep enough, & the cylinder lip is bottoming out on that step in your case on each side of the crankshaft.

1mm solder would be better, anyhow that's what I use. Compressing 3mm of solder is going to be hard. When I set my squish gap at .75mm & using 1mm solder it takes quite a bit a force to overcome the solder & crush.

Yeah it does take some force. I took a measurement with only the very bottom gasket between the spacer and the case. And no gasket between the spacer and the cylinder.
Took another measurement with no gasket at all

These readings don't add up I think I'm going to use the 1 mm if I can find some

Did you get .94mm with no gaskets, if so your best bet would be to mill down your base plate adapter I think. Like @ StreetRyderz said you got more options to tune the cylinder that way if you mill the base plate adapter.

0.94 was no gaskets but it doesn't make sense. With one gasket was 1.13. 1/32 of a gasket =.794. I'm doing something wrong1.13- 0.794=0.336
1.78 -0.794=0.986. My original reading was 1.78 with both gaskets.so if I took off one gasket should have been in spec. At 0.986

That's why I myself was curious if the cylinder bore lip on your cylinder kit was hitting down inside the case, not letting the cylinder seat all the way down.

I should have bought everything here to work. I'll take some measurements and get back to you on that and take pictures.
Yeah I'm trying to help out, I've followed a couple guys on moped army about this particular kit that you got. I thought it was supposed to be a straight forward install, but apparently not.
