Flexin the goose

HO-Boy! Great ideas comin' down the pike!

Hi all! I am glad to see that some of the ideas that EZ Motorbike has been working on since mid 2008 are so well received!

Flex Exhaust........ The main objective in an exhaust system is a smooth clean flow. To this extent, the Exhaust Flex, that EZ Motorbikes uses has been developed over many long years, especially designed to not cause power-robbing turbulence, nor to affect the total tuned state of the engine (i.e. lean-burn, and "bounce-back" pulses to the valve train). All of these aspects are really important, not only for performance, but for long engine life. This in mind, EZ Motorbike will be using only fully-engineered Exhaust tubing.

Our intent, is that, the Exhaust flex, selected by EZM, developed over many years of heavy use in a variety of applications, will be an attractive addition to any 4-stroke bike. The special exhaust system for EZM is high quality rust resistant material and will avoid rusting over a long period of time.

Pedal extenders, this months old project has included East Coast American made prototypes, and West Coast prototypes, and the 3rd shipment is expected in the next couple of days. We believe that our solid steel pedal extenders will be the solution that is so badly needed for the wide-engine community, 2 and 4-strokes alike.

EZ-Pipes will be available to dealers in a few days, as well as a supply of the custom pedal extenders.

Some of the Dealers knew about these products, though, we've been so busy that perhaps some had not been made aware of the availability of the products.

Ride On!

As long as you always remember aesthetics Mike as well as practicality because to me looks will always be important. Remember if the kit is designed to fit on any bike then you could lose the good look. It needs to look good so people can ride one with pride. That HT has good looks but that is all it has so this kit needs both. The 4-stroke kit looks good on most cruisers but really doesn't look at all good on other frame types.

I think 4 stroke, HS/Honda, motors look just fine on mountain bikes. Some people view these bikes as practical transpotation, not just a hobby.

I've done 28,000 kilometres at last calculation on my bikes (That is the circumference of the planet nearly) and I still think aesthetics are very important.
I haven't seen an MTB that the 4-stroke looks good on except Sir Jakesus's rear mount and others with similar rigs. They look OK on MTB's but they look great on cruiser frames. If the engines were purpose designed for a bike they would look much better like the old motored bikes of the first half of the last century.

That's why I said 'nearly' cos the last calculation was at least 1800 kms ago and I don't count the bikes I build for others which I do 250 km min on before I hand them over plus there have been many trips when the contacts of the speedo need cleaning and the mileage goes unrecorded til I wipe them clean so the figure is a conservative one but it would be true to say that it would be the equivalent distance from Sydney to Dublin and half way back. Sydney to Dublin is 22 hrs in a Boeing 747 so it's a lot of riding and it certainly couldn't be described as a hobby Walhenry.

Cruisers, and Cruising

Hi John, well I have always been very partial to Cruisers, American Made and the older the better! I haven't a lot of use for MTB unless they are converted to "Comfort" status BUT some of our Dealers and people do like them, ALOT!

We are actually in the process of reworking a cruiser design for a standard bicycle to have availble, AND reworking a very cool set of Vintage dimensions to make a purpose-built bicycle that we believe will fill the needs of many riders in a way that has not been done since the 1950's!

The MTB's will be able to fend for themselves I'm sure, and most, if not all of what is i the works will be able to fit them also.

We are actually expecting Nsideus to be joining up with us soon, and he too can begin to put miles on the things we are working on.

Well, I got to get ready for the Whiz-in, 90 miles in the Saddle, and I'll be riding the Honda-powered EZ Bike it looks like!

Hi everyone,

So far all my bikes with motors have been vintage style [or reproductions], but after seeing a couple of our kits on mountain bikes, I want to build one myself. Just need to find out what it is like with better suspension & different brake options. I am getting ready to start testing the second generation drive system and who knows what kind of bike it will end up on. And no I am not going to show pictures yet.
Since this post started about flex pipes, I guess I could show a picture of the EZ pipe. Also a picture of the EZM pedal extensions [both east & west coast versions].

Have fun,

Regarding the above it's interesting that the first mountain bikes were cruisers used in California. They found them the toughest bikes to adapt for hard riding off-road. Hard to see the provenance of the lineage when you look at a modern dual suspension MTB.
I love the sound of this MB project above that Mike & Quenton mention.
