Great MZ65 Knockoff

Butt dyno says otherwise .. to each his own
Freeing up torque over the stock pipe sure it's noticeable but the hit from a TRUE tuned pipe is a completely different thing,GREAT bolt on pipe for NON performance builds and those whom can't fab one up yes.Not a good performance pick is what I'm saying for all those whom might think that it is,there are many good reason's for this info to be correct since I don't like seeing guy's cook their engines needlessly!

Let’s clarify this post up since it’s looking like people misinterpreted my initial intention. As far as “knockoff”...no this isn’t a replica that someone copied the MZ65 dimensions, header length, diameter etc. It’s rather a similar looking expansion style chamber pipe that gives your MB an exhaust that looks kind of like a production dirt bike. That’s the reason I bought mine...not for a dramatic increase in performance. Now some here will argue that MZ65 this or MZ65 that...double the power, runs cooler, ideal stinger length yada yada. I could actually care less personally. I didn’t build an MB with the intention of taking a $139 motor kit and spending twice that amount buying pipes, boost bottles, reed cages etc to wring out another 2-3 hp. And I’m sure there’s others here that for the most part build them as a sidekick fun hobby, not an all out racing, how much power can I squeeze out of a mass produced cast China engine. So perhaps my title was worded improperly....it’s a good looking pipe versus some of the other choices out there that look hideous for a relatively affordable price. If you think it’ll make a difference either in looks or performance, stick to the tried & proven pipes out there. I decided to try it for $59....I’ve wasted money on worse things in my life, lol.

For people who already have the knockoff pipes and don't run a muffler or one that doesn't create backpressure, would attaching some kind of metal cap or plug on the end of the pipe and drill a smaller hole create more backpressure so it doesn't heat the engine so much? Just an idea.

A smaller dia stinger may help it some with tuning but it's the header dia and overall size that create the restrictions in flow and create heat!A tuned pipe doesn't rely on back pressure but rather it having a proper return wave within that back pressure.

I have a true expansion chamber needing fab work. My welder friend is really busy right now so its gonna be a while till I can use it. I do have a cooling head so I think that'll help. I'll keep the idle rpm down and not ride it for long periods of time I guess till I get the other pipe. on.
