The scooterguy offers freewheel crank and drive system SPECIAL

Just finishing up an installation on a OCC chopper w/jack-shaft feeding a 5 gear cluster. The OCC chopper has such a massive oval 'steel' lower frame member, drilling a couple of holes was a no-brainer. I'm toying with installing a rope recoil starter which makes the power train quite a bit wider. Does anyone make offset pedals, because apparently no one makes an extended crank that will fit the wider bearing housing used by the OCC chopper. Has anyone tried a recoil starter, as I hear there quite a problem with quality, as some work and some don't.....Byron

i gave this bike a good test ride tonight , i just finished it today , and drove it to work for a good test ride , the drive system is good , the mounting system with the clamps , is golden good , i'm going to ride it to its new home tomorrow , i will be sad to see it go . it rides surprisingly smooth considering the metal fenders and the chain guard i added . thought for sure it would rattle some , here are the final pictures. if anyone is still there.

thanks randy ,
the system itself is sound , i took it to work last night and then a ten mile ride or so to the customers house , its seems that on long stretches with lots of throttle the fuel just cant keep up and the motor like to peter out . eventually i learned what it could handle and did not over do the gas and everything went well . i told Walter that on Friday i wanted to come over and put one of my Mitsubishi 49cc motors on it instead , i can swap a motor in a matter of minutes , without touching the drive system . he will be much happier with that motor .

here is my next project i am working on now , it features the clamping system , and a new thee way freewheel Ive worked on. this tadpole , will have pedal option and two derailleurs , one for the motor gears the other for the pedals , here are a few pics of the build in progress , and a video of freewheel . this is a basic scooter guy mount turned on its side .
